Ok, new plan. I've been dabbling with my new R+F palette to create some encaustic monotypes. As with any new medium, technique or style, you have to give yourself time to play and experience it. Rather than putting pressure on myself to create something AMAZING, I have just been having fun. But this morning - there was a breakthrough. I'm a big believer in using the skills you have rather than reinventing the wheel and I rely on small incremental changes rather than huge leaps. And today, I went back to a style from a couple years ago - abstract backgrounds with drawings trees. I'm excited.
